The inaugural “Battle of Los Angeles” Lacrosse Tournament, featuring 20 teams from grades kindergarten through eighth, will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 4, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Westchester Park.
The community event will include a “carnival-like atmosphere” with local lacrosse and non-lacrosse vendors, food booths, raffle prizes, face painting, balloon animals, games and activities to test accuracy and shot speed, event organizers said.
Approximately 300 to 500 people are estimated to attend. Players from Westchester and neighboring communities will participate.
Professional lacrosse player Kyle Harrison is scheduled to attend.
Various sponsorship packages, from $50 to $250, are available. All proceeds will go to support “The Drive for Rebecca” and the WRC Foundation.
Admission is free for spectators
