The following items were taken in Marina del Rey burglaries:

a garage door opener valued at $30 in the 13700 block of Tahiti Way the night of Wednesday, November 10th;

$200, a wallet valued at $150 and a cell phone valued at $150 on Admiralty Way between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28th;

a camera valued at $400 on Old Harbor Lane between 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. Monday, October 25th;

an outboard engine valued at $1,500, a gas tank valued at $20, binoculars valued at $200, shoes valued at $100, foul-weather gear valued at $300 and a dock step valued at $30 in the 14100 block of Marquesas Way between Tuesday, October 12th, and Sunday, October 24th;

miscellaneous elevator parts valued at $200 in the 4100 block of Via Marina between 4 p.m. Friday, November 5th, and 8:30 a.m. Monday, November 8th; and

two TV sets, valued at $5,000, in F Basin between Friday, October 29th, and Wednesday, November 3rd.


The following items were taken in Marina del Rey grand thefts:

a boat cover valued at $800 on Mindanao Way between October 19th and October 21st; and

an outdrive valued at $3,500 in the 13500 block of Mindanao Way between 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 18th, and 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th.


A resident of the 4200 block of Via Marina had returned to her assigned residential parking spot after taking her daughters to school at 9:20 a.m. Friday, November 5th, and was walking away from her vehicle. A man flashed a gold-colored badge, told the woman he was “the police” and said he needed to see her vehicle. When the woman and the man reached the woman’s vehicle, the man pushed the woman to the ground, pointed a handgun at her head and demanded her vehicle keys, cellular phone and money. The man disarmed the vehicle, opened the driver’s door and pulled the trunk latch to open the trunk. The man told the woman to get into the trunk. The woman screamed, cried and begged the man not to hurt her. The man again demanded that the woman get into the trunk and again she screamed and continued to cry and beg him not to hurt her. The man then threw her vehicle keys at the woman and fled, taking the woman’s cellular phone and $600.


A robber entered a business in the 4700 block of Admiralty Way at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, November 3rd, and asked to see a necklace. An employee held the necklace while the robber looked at the necklace. The robber asked to hold the necklace and was told, “no.” The robber grabbed the necklace, valued at $31,000, and fled.


A license plate was taken from a vehicle in the 4700 block of Admiralty Way between 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 20th, and 10 a.m. Thursday, October 21st.


Two tires valued at $300 on a boat trailer were slashed in the 13400 block of Fiji Way between 12:45 p.m. Monday, October 18th, and 6 a.m. Tuesday, October 19th.
